Description

Check out this 2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited AWD! One owner, local trade, heated power seats, ABS, keyless entry, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio and more! Though it's essentially a lifted wagon variant of the Legacy sedan, the 2014 Subaru Outback is a versatile midsize crossover capable of filling multiple roles. The 2014 Subaru Outback is available in four trim levels, including 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited, with all receiving Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel-drive system as standard. All models except the 3.6R Limited are powered by a 2.5-liter flat-four making 173 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or CVT. Models equipped with CVT are EPA-rated at 24/30 mpg city/highway, while Outback CUVs with the manual are rated 22/29 mpg. The 3.6R boasts a 256-hp, 247-lb-ft 3.6-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, which is rated at 17/25 mpg. We named the Subaru Outback our 2010 Sport Utility of the Year for having SUV-like capability without the typical SUV drawbacks. Having a car-like driving experience and innovative utility solutions didn't hurt it either. We also appreciated its surprising capability off-road, saying, "While it looks like a tall wagon, the Outback in many ways qualifies as a bona-fide SUV. For instance, ground clearance is now 8.7 inches, more than, say, the [previous-generation] Jeep Grand Cherokee. True, the Outback lacks the boulder-climbing approach, breakover, and departure angles of the Jeep and other more serious off-roaders, but it's far too capable to dub a crossover. You could drive the Outback just about anywhere but the most formidable four-wheeling trails."
